Lakota is my 20+ year old Quarter
Horse Mare. I got her 3 years ago.
I got her from a sleezeball horse trader out
to make a quick buck. He told me she was 8ys old and "child safe".
He sold this horse to me for my 9 yr
old daughter to learn to ride on. After about a week Lakota was not the horse I bought, she was a maniac! I suspect he BLED
her. Not a suitable horse for a skinny little girl.
As it turns out, the vet said she wasn't
8, she was over 20!! You wouldn't think she was that old looking at her. Lakota is also loosing her sight.
She is near sighted in one eye, and far sighted in the other. She isn't comfortable with being ridden anymore. I did get to
ride her a few times. Such a shame, she racked beautifully!
I bred her to a paint TWH in June 2006.
Lakota foaled on May 21, 2007! She is now the proud and wonderful mom of a little colt,
"Lakota Thunder"!
